Feeling down? Take a deep breath and think of something that makes you happy. Now, close your eyes and take yourself somewhere that you love to go to. Stay there for a while. Your dishes can wait, the clothes will keep themselves in the dryer, dinner will hold, the grass won’t grow that much in a minute or two, the car can stay dirty for a while longer. I promise you that these chores will still be there. Take care of you. Take some time to give yourself a much needed break. Just a few minutes a day can make the difference between keeping yourself going or breaking down.
When you get the chance, write down the things that make you truly happy. It doesn’t matter how big or small these things are, if they make you happy, write it down. Keep this list someplace where you can see it. Do you have any photos of your happy place? Put them on the refrigerator so you can look at them and go there in your thoughts.
One more thing, SMILE. It really does make you feel better. It takes more muscles to frown than it does to smile. Besides, you look much better when you smile.
Thank you Tracy! It sounds like you are on a good track. And don’t forget to smile! Hugs

It’s always good to remind ourselves of what makes us happy. This post has provided some inspiration. Each and every day, I write down three things that I’m grateful for. Why not expand that to write down something that makes me happy? Love it!
